inform members of Plein Air activities in our area.
April 2009
April 6 – 13, San Jose Historical Park, Kelly
Park, San Jose
Fine old historical buildings that take you back to the early
days of San Jose. Take Capital Expressway to Senter Road, left
to Kelly Park. Park between the Tea Garden and the Historical
Park.
April 20 – 27, Town of Los Gatos.
We’ll meet ant the corner of Main and Santa Cruz Ave.
Then we’ll spread out and look for good locations for
the upcoming Plein Air event.
March 2009
March 2, Corner of Quito Road and Pallard Road
New location: fields, a barn and nice grove of trees. Going
west on
Los Gatos Saratoga Road, take right on Quito Road to Pallard
Road.
Going east on Saratoga Los Gatos Road, take a left on Austin.
Austin
becomes Quito Road.
March 9 – 16, Los Gatos Downtown
Meet at Park on the corner of Main and Santa Cruz Ave.
March 23 – 30, Campbell Park and Ponds
Entrance to Campbell Park and Ponds is on Dell Ave. in Campbell.
Going north on S. Winchester, take a right on Hacienda and then
a left on
Dell. You’ll see the entrance on the right. There may
be a fee to park.
FEBRUARY 2009
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2ND, SN JUAN BAUTISTA, SOUTH OF GILROY
9am / 12 noon
A new painting favorite, with the beautiful mission, unique
historical downtown, old buildings and gardens. We have enjoyed
a group lunch at a local restaurant with some retuning to paint
in the afternoon.
MONDAY FEBRUARY 9TH AND 16TH VASONA COUNTY PARK Los
Gatos
9am to 12 noon
Our local favorite, with lots to paint. Meet in parking lot
past first small bridge on the left. Fee, unless you have a
senior pass.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23RD, PALM AVENUE, COYOTE VALLEY 9am
to noon
Development looms, but for the time being there are idyllic
farms and ranches. Take Santa Teresa Blvd. past bailey to Palm
Ave. See you at the corner.
JANUARY 2009
MONDAY, JANUARY 5TH, 12TH SANTA TERESA BLVD /LUGUNA
ROAD SOUTH SAN JOSE 9am / 12 noon
Farm and ranch setting with cows, golden hills and green row
crops with a variety of trees. Meet on the corner of Santa Teresa
blvd and Laguna Rd. Go west to Santa Teresa and south past Bailey
Rd. to Laguna Rd. If you come later, go either way on Laguna,
it dead-ends in both directions and we will be easy to find.
The views are great.
MONDAY, JANUARY 19TH, 26TH SAN JOSE HISTORICAL PARK,
KELLY PARK, SAN JOSE 9am / 12 noon
Fine old historical buildings, which will take you back to the

Working ranch with old water tower, barns, out buildings.

golf course on left. Take a right here into park.
MONDAY 15th/22 DECEMBER LOS ALAMITOS CREEK ALMEDEN
VALLEY 9am/12noon
Another location on this creek with open view of mountains and
tree
lined creek and fall colors. Go south on Almeden Blvd. Just
before it
ends you will see parking on left right before bridge.
MONDAY DECEMBER 29th COYOTE VALLEY off Palm Ave, Just
South of San Jose
Hay fields with tree studded hills in the distant, barns and
ranches
nearby. Take 85 to 101 and 101 to Bailey Right on Bailey to
Santa Teresa Blvd. go left to Palm Ave. Go right and left on
Palm Ct,
